Plant Based Products Council Welcomes Sydney Van de Meulebroecke as Manager of Bioproducts Policy

Washington, D.C. – The Plant Based Products Council (PBPC) is pleased to announce the addition of Sydney Van de Meulebroecke as its new Manager of Bioproducts Policy. In this role, Van de Meulebroecke will support the advancement of PBPC’s federal policy agenda, bringing valuable expertise in sustainability, regulatory affairs, and stakeholder engagement to PBPC’s growing advocacy efforts. She will work closely with PBPC members to address policy challenges and promote the growth of the plant-based products industry.

“Sydney brings a strong track record at the intersection of sustainability, policy, and industry,” said PBPC Executive Director James Glueck. “Her leadership and analytical expertise will be invaluable as we continue to advocate for federal policy and investments in the bioeconomy that drive a stronger future for American agriculture and manufacturing.”

Van de Meulebroecke joins PBPC from the Federal Aviation Administration’s Department of Energy and Environment, where she served as a Policy Analyst focused on Sustainable Aviation Fuel initiatives. Her cross-sector experience also includes work at Newell Brands, where she developed waste reduction programs and led environmental impact assessments on product packaging.

“I am thrilled to join the incredible team at PBPC and help build momentum for America’s circular, bio-based economy,” said Van de Meulebroecke. “Bioproducts will drive the future of American manufacturing, and I am excited to be at the cutting edge of innovation alongside PBPC’s members.”

In addition to her role with PBPC, Van de Meulebroecke will also support the Corn Refiners Association as the organization’s Manager of Workplace Safety.

Van de Meulebroecke earned a Bachelor of Science from Virginia Tech and a Master’s in Science and Sustainability Management from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
