Plant Based Products Council Announces New Speakers and Sponsors for Omaha Conference

Washington, D.C. – Today, the Plant Based Products Council (PBPC) announced new speakers and sponsors for PBPC 2024: Circular Solutions, which will take place Apr. 8-10 in Omaha, NE.

Sam Kieffer Vice President, Public Policy American Farm Bureau Federation

Sam Kieffer, Vice President of Public Affairs at the American Farm Bureau Federation, leads the organization’s government relations, advocacy, and economist teams. He previously served as the Chief Administrative Officer of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, representing and serving farm families across the state. Hailing from a family grain and beef farm in Pennsylvania, Kieffer’s connection to the agricultural industry dates to his childhood and serves as a common thread throughout his career. He will be speaking at the conference’s opening session and sharing insights on the challenges and opportunities facing the U.S. agriculture industry.

Eric Smith leads government investments in innovation and technology economies

Eric Smith, Tech Hubs Director at the U.S. Economic Development Administration, leads government investments in innovation through the Tech Hubs program, enhancing economic and national security by fostering the growth of future industries. Eric has extensive experience in the technology and policy fields, including roles at the Patent and Trademark Office, EDA, and NASA. He will participate on the panel Federal Policy Playing Field: An Update on Agency Activities related to Biomanufacturing, exploring recent policy developments to support innovation in biomanufacturing.

BioLogiQ joins the annual conference as a platinum sponsor. BioLogiQ, a PBPC member, provides manufacturers with innovative plant-based solutions to cut back on plastic production and create more eco-friendly products. They will be sponsoring the April 9 Networking Reception that will bring together like-minded leaders and stakeholders for forward-thinking discussions.
